== Leftovers and Re-uses == Some subtle elements of the Forge remain in the final version of Armageddon's Blade. <gallery mode="packed-hover" heights="240px"> File:Homm ab.jpg| ab box art features the Forge's blacksmith in the background behind Adrienne and Catherine. File:Armageddon's blade menu no buttons.png| An ab menu image shows Gelu with a dead Stinger. File:Complete Mutare.png| An ab menu image shows Mutare Drake replacing a transparent Stinger behind Mutare (laser is visible). </gallery> * The ab intro cinematic depicts Gelu, Catherine and Roland finding Armageddon's Blade in an installation equipped with electrical lights. This cinematic is discussed by Greg Fulton in his Tavern of Might and Magic Interview. * Farming Towns Day 20 event text: "We have been attacked by hideous beasts wielding powerful weaponry." That mention of powerful weaponry makes sense in the context of the originally planned campaign against the Forge faction, but less so in the finally released campaign which is a second war between Erathia and the Kreegan of Eeofol. * The Return of the King prologue shows Roland looking across a lake at what appears to be Forge towns. * The concept art of the Stinger was used as the basis for Boragus's portrait. * Phoenixes, originally planned as neutral creatures, were moved to Conflux. * hota used many aspects of the cancelled Forge: ** A first attempt at a HotA Forge (also known as Don_ko's Forge) ** As inspiration for the Factory town and its associated story, but substantially reworked with a steampunk aesthetic rather than cyberpunk. In the story of the Forged in Fire campaign, Kastore achieves some technological progress with the help of Frederick. ** A new attempt at implementing the Forge with a campaign following Forged in Fire explaining how eventually manages to activate the Heavenly Forges. * The Board Game features a Forge expansion, based on a redesign of the concept by Greg Fulton and in collaboration with the hota team. * There are at least three different completed implementations of the Forge for VCMI: **The MDT Forge. **The Heavenly Forge 2000 (mostly consisting of assets from HotA Forge and MDT Forge). **The Farriery (made from E3 Forge townscreen and using some amount of scrapped MDT Forge and HotA Forge assets). * A Forge town is included in the ERA Plus mod for the ERA, but the mod is Russian-only. Also, the same Forge has been added on Master of Puppets for MoP 2.2 by the same author. That version of Forge also consists of mixed assets and uses one of the later versions of HotA Forge townscreen, although with some changes. * The Forge faction will also be present in dor.
