A region in south-west AvLee, bordering Deyja. Bandits and rogue AvLeean warlords were terrorizing Shantanna around the early 1160s AS. The bandit lords attempted to find the Ring of Health and sell it to a Death Knight lord in Deyja. However, 
Gelu was able to obtain the ring first.

- The events described in the The Black Rose
probably took place in or near Shantanna, as they happened halfway between Spaward and Steadwick, also heavily involving bandits.
