Tarnum to rebel against the Wizard-Kings. Ancestor of Kurl.
A legendary figure, not much is revealed in the games about the exploits and reign of Jarg the Conqueror in the games, but he was apparently not nearly as brutal and destructive as his would-be successor Tarnum.
Trivia
- Jarg's conquests most likely happened somewhere in the first or second century AS, as it is alluded to that Enroth was a peaceful world before the Silence. However, this is not stated outright, giving room to interpret them as happening before it, albeit with some post-rationalization.
- Description for Lion's Shield of Courage found only in the Heroes of Might and Magic IV game files mentions that the artifact belonged to a member of the Lionheart dynasty that ruled Antagarich long before the Gryphonheart dynasty of Erathia. The Lionhearts are described as brave, but expansionistic. Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven features the Lionheart Sword, an artifact from the Time of Wonders.
- Given all of the above, the Lionhearts may have ruled all or much of Antagarich before Jarg's Horde conquered their lands, or before his exploits even began.
- Alternatively, Jarg himself is possibly a Lionheart. The detail about expansionism and ruling long before the Gryphonhearts fits well with that interpretation.
