Summon demons

Pit fiends and pit lords are level 5 creatures of inferno town. They are recruited from the hell hole.

Pit fiends and pit lords attack with tormenting whip blows. Once per combat, pit lords are able to resurrect dead allied troops as demons in place of another action. The number raised cannot be higher than the number of pit lords performing the resurrection.

Special ability

Summon demons is a special ability of pit lords. Once per combat a stack of pit lords can permanently resurrect dead allied creature stack as demons. Each pit lord in the resurrecting stack can summon up to 50 hit points worth of demons. The total health of demons summoned can not exceed the total health of the dead stack nor can the number of demons exceed the number of creatures in the dead stack. In other words, a stack of one archangel becomes one demon while a stack of one pikeman can not be resurrected.

The formula: number of Demons = ((Total Hit Points of Dead Stack) or (50 x Number of Pit Lords), whichever is smaller) / 35, always rounded down and capped to (Number of Creatures in Original Stack)

It should be noted that elementals, undead or golems can not be converted to demons. Additionally, health increasing artifacts (Ring of Life, Ring of Vitality, Vial of Lifeblood and Elixir of Life) are counted in the calculations.

Demon herding

One tactic for inferno is to turn imps and gogs into demons. This is based to the fact that imps and gogs have lower attack/defence ratings than demons, and therefore their hit points are more valuable. You can also herd demons from cheap low level troops from other town types. The basic idea is to let the chosen stack of creatures die and then cast the summon demons with pit lords. Additionally, cloning hero's pit lords will grant and extra number of demon summonings.
