Obviously, it's better to sacrifice a stack with many units than a stack with the same total health but fewer units. Thats what imps are made for!(4 base hp +3+ minimum 1 spell power)=minimum of double hp gain. Example: 30 imps per week=(240 hp to raise at battle)/( a week of imp accumulation)
 
Which is more than an arch-devil with only 1 spell power. Which also makes it equivalent to 3 devil production per week.
