The most powerfull spell in the School of Fire Magic is [[Berserk]], which combined with expert [[Fire Magic]] can be cast on an area of three hex radius. It causes all affected creatures to use their attack to the nearest possible target, forcing the enemy troops to kill each other. Generally, the School of Fire Magic has only a few top-flight spells. However, [[Fire Wall]] is very good against overwhelming wandering troops, [[Fireball]] and [[Inferno_(spell)|Inferno]] are sometimes the mass damage spells you need, and [[Frenzy]] helps to wipe out strong stacks faster (while you should use it very carefully, not allowing a strong enemy to attack your stack when it has Defense 0).

And therefore, also Fire Magic becomes dispensable - it also has only the second best spell in terms of damage, [[Armageddon]] which was so bad it was changed to effect the whole battlefield out of pity - sadly it needs either select level 7 creatures or [[Efreet]] only ([[Dragogeddon]]) to not cast friendly fire on the own creatures too (and in most maps the [[Armageddon's Blade (Artifact)]] might not be present).
 
The best single target damage spell in terms of just damage output is an [[Earth magic]] spell, [[Implosion]], quite a host of buffs are included in [[Water magic]], which also has the only heal spell [[Cure]], [[Earth magic]] also has resurrects.
