'''Tile''', '''hex''' or '''square''' are all terms typically used as the basic movement unit for heroes and creatures. ''Hex'' term is used mainly in combat situations when determining the distance a creature can move on the battlefield, determining a width of a creature or a radius of a spell effect. ''Square'' term is used to determine the distance a hero can travel on [[adventure map]]. The term ''Tile'' can be used for both situations. It should be noted, that although ''Tile'' or ''Square'' terms are used to describe the distance hero can travel, it is not entirely accurate, because hero travelling diagonally uses more movement points than hero traveling vertically or horizontally. See [[movement]] article for further information.

Tile, hex or square are all terms typically used as the basic movement unit for heroes and creatures. Hex term is used mainly in combat situations when determining the distance a creature can move on the battlefield, determining a width of a creature or a radius of a spell effect. Square term is used to determine the distance a hero can travel on the Adventure Map. The term tile can be used for both situations.
