'''Dragon''' is creature type in {{homm3}}. In {{roe}} there are six different dragons:
* {{town|Rampart}} has {{cnu|Green Dragon|Gold Dragon|name=Green and Gold Dragons}}
* {{town|Dungeon}} has {{cnu|Red Dragon|Black Dragon|name=Red and Black Dragons}}
* {{town|Necropolis}} has  {{cnu|Bone Dragon|Ghost Dragon|name=Bone and Ghost Dragons}}

{{ab}} added four [[neutral]] dragons which are also available in {{sod}}:
* {{Cn|Azure Dragon}}s
* {{Cn|Crystal Dragon}}s
* {{Cn|Rust Dragon}}s
* {{Cn|Faerie Dragon}}s

{{ab}} expansion added the {{An|Vial of Dragon Blood}} artifact, which gives all dragons under the hero's command +5 [[Attack]] and +5 [[Defense]].

{{Hn|Mutare|Overlord}}, {{Hn|Mutare Drake|Overlord}}, and {{Hn|Tarnum (Overlord)|0=}} also give all dragons under their command +5 Attack and +5 Defense.

All living dragons, as well as  {{cnu|Hydra|Chaos Hydra|name=Hydras and Chaos Hydras}}, {{cnu|Sea Serpent|Haspid|name=Sea Serpents and Haspids}}{{-wh}}, and {{cnu|Couatl|Crimson Couatl|name=Couatls and Crimson Couatls}}{{-wh}} can be transformed into {{Cn|Bone Dragon}}s at a [[Skeleton Transformer]].

Troops under the effects of the {{Sn|Slayer}} spell receive additional attack when targeting dragons.

All dragons have the [[breath attack]] ability except for {{Cn|Bone Dragon}}s, {{Cn|Ghost Dragon}}s, {{Cn|Crystal Dragon}}s, and {{Cn|Faerie Dragon}}s.
