Shield of the Yawning Dead is a minor class artifact equipped in the shield slot. While equipped the shield increases hero's defense skill by +3. In Shadow of Death expansion, the Shield of the Yawning Dead is a part of combination artifact Armor of the Damned. The other parts are the Blackshard of the Dead Knight, the Skull Helmet and the Rib Cage.
