Combination artifact

Combination artifacts are special artifacts introduced in Shadow of Death expansion. They can be created by combining a set of specific artifacts. Combining is performed by equipping all the required artifacts, and right-clicking one of them. This will also dismantle the combination artifact back to its original pieces. Combination artifact reserves the same artifact slots as its original artifacts. Original artifacts still give their regular bonuses and the bonuses given by combining are added to those.

Allows rampart, tower, fortress, stronghold and castle creatures to be mixed without a morale penalty, for the player. Casts expert prayer at the start of combat.

In addition to the regular bonuses (a total of +21 to all primary skills), the Angelic Alliance allows the wearer to mix creatures from towns of good and neutral Alignment without morale penalty. At the beginning of each combat (when a creature stack first becomes active), the Angelic Alliance will cast Expert Prayer. Angelic Alliance gives the highest boosts to primary skills out of any combination artifact in the game, handily outclassing even Power of the Dragon Father despite filling less artifact slots (6, as opposed to 9 for Power of the Dragon Father).

All opponents have these spells effective on them for fifty turns: Slow, Curse, Weakness, and Misfortune. In addition to the regular primary skill bonuses from combined artifacts, the armor has effect that causes Slow, Curse, Weakness and Misfortune at expert level with a duration of 50 rounds at the beginning of hero's first turn during combat.

Ranged shooters may fire projectiles while adjacent to an enemy creature. No archery penalty for range or obstacle.

From dead allies, 30% are resurrected as skeletons. If a hero already has Necromancy secondary skill then the percentages are added to the skill and the level of skill determines what type is resurrected: basic – walking dead; advanced – wights; expert – liches.

In addition to the regular bonuses from combined artifacts, the Elixir of Life increases health of all living creatures by +25% and they gain a regeneration ability similar to that of Trolls or Wraiths. Neither of these abilities apply to Undead or non-living (unliving) units.

In addition to the regular bonuses, the Power of the Dragon Father gives +6 to all Primary Skills, and the hero's troops become immune to level 1-4 spells. This is a double-edged sword, since it will prevent the hero from casting any beneficial spell on their own units, including even Resurrection, but does not stop the enemy from using Implosion. However, it is an extremely powerful Dragogeddon enabler.

The combined effect of all the ingredients below gives:

  • 1) +10 to all Primary Skills. (With the additional +6 to all Primary skills, this totals to +16.)
  • 2) +1 Luck and Morale.

In addition to the regular bonuses, the Ring of the Magi adds 50 rounds to spell duration, for a total bonus of 56 rounds.

All creature production increases by 50%, in all towns based off of the castle creature generation level, does not include flagged structures or other like bonuses.

In addition to the regular bonuses, Titan's Thunder adds Titan's Lightning Bolt to the hero's spell book while equipped. If the hero does not have a spell book, one will be added permanently.

Note: this is a level 5 spell thus it can be used against dragons (except for black).

Unfortunately, Titan's Lightning Bolt is not affected by spell power and always does 600 damage. (900 if the hero has Orb of the Firmament) Sorcery does not affect the spell. This makes it obsolete by the point in the game this weapon is usually found.

In addition to component effects at the beginning of a combat the Fist will cast Haste, Bloodlust, Fire Shield and Counterstrike (all Expert) lasting for 50 turns on all allied troops.
  • Component effects: increase your Attack and Defense skills by 5 and your Spell Power and Knowledge skills by 4.

In addition to component effects reduces the Power skill of enemy hero by 20% during combat, for a total bonus of 50%.
