Liches and power liches are level 5 creatures of Necropolis town. They are recruited from the Mausoleum. Both liches attack at range with a death cloud attack, which always causes damage in the target hex but also causes damage to all non-undead creatures in adjacent hexes. At hand-to-hand combat they defend themselves with blows from their scepters suffering from melee penalty and making their attack less efficient.

Death cloud special ability

The death cloud ability works while liches attack at range. Theri attack cause a "puff of death", that affects all the adjacent hexes around the target dealing damage to creatures within the radius. However, all non-living creatures (elementals, golems and undead) and war machines are immune to the effects of death cloud. The creature in the target hex still suffers normally from the ranged attack of the liches. Attacking in melee combat, does not cause death cloud to emerge. Like magogs, liches are used on towers during the castle siege, but they do not use death cloud.

Death cloud could potentially harm allied creatures, if liches are combined with living creatures and they are standing within radius of liches death cloud.

Death Cloud is very similar to Magogs' Fireball Attack.
