Shrine

Adventure map objects that allow heroes to learn spells. A Spell Book is required for heroes to learn spells granted by shrines, as well as the appropriate level of Wisdom.

In Horn of the Abyss , ocean shrines were added, and can be visited by heroes in boats.

In exchange for your protection, they agree to teach you a sophisticated spell - (...) * * * Unfortunately, you have no Spell Book to record the spell with. * * * Unfortunately, you do not have the wisdom to understand the spell, and are unable to learn it.
