The keeper eyes up your ship through a looking glass, and then flags a forbidding signal. Apparently, no one has forewarned him about your arrival, so you are not going to sail this course. You should try seeking out a Keymaster's Tent.

Border Guard as seen on the adventure map.

As you reign in your horse, a guard steps up to you, "Welcome. I have received word of your arrival. Do you wish to pass at this time?"

"No one told me of your coming," says the Border Guard. "I cannot let you pass. Perhaps you should first seek a Keymaster's Tent."

Border guard is an adventure map object, that cannot be passed until one of any player's heroes has visited a Keymaster's Tent of the corresponding color. There are eight possible colors for the border guard: red, green, light blue, dark blue, brown, purple, white and black. When any player's hero has visited a Keymaster's Tent and one of his heroes passes the associated border guard, it disappears from the map and any hero of any player can pass after that.
