Cloak of the Undead King is a relic class combination artifact and is equipped in the slot. Combination artifacts were first added in the Shadow of Death expansion. In addition to the regular bonuses, the Cloak of the Undead King resurrects 30% of the battlefield dead as skeletons. If the hero already has the necromancy skill, the percentage is added to that skill, and the hero's proficiency with Necromancy determines what undead is raised:
- Basic necomancy – walking dead
- Advanced necormancy – wights
- Expert necromancy – liches
