Kobold and Kobold Foreman

60
Kobolds and Kobold Foremen are the level 1 creatures of Bulwark. They can be recruited from the Colliery.
Kobolds like to mine stuff, indeed more than their craft, mining to them is a way of life. When Kobolds wake up they think of minecrafting new shafts havinig just dreamt of striking big. The ordinary Kobold is a slow critter, partly because mining is a tough job. When upgraded or rather pomoted to foreman the Kobold becomes a boss and bossy at that, ordering other Kobolds around while not lifting heavy weights themself, thus they are not as exhausted and move about a bit faster.

User Commentary
They have mediocre stats, but generate 1 gold per day, meaning a Kobold will compensate his cost after 40 days (or 60 for a Kobold Foreman). It's better not to upgrade them for a while (unless you can find the Old Hill Fort, which is not available on random maps), and recruit them primarily as a town garrison and workers. Even a little money may mean a lot on resource-poor maps. In the very early game, Kobolds can work as decent meat shields due to their impressive health for a tier 1, but their very low speed makes them undesirable once better creatures are available.
If you find yourself using a powerstack of Kobolds, it is highly advisable to, at the end of your turn, replace them for a faster unit on the main hero in order to have as much movement points as possible.
