When Nimbus was a child, he had a small dog that eventually died of old age. Nimbus discovered that by sacrificing a small bird or other creature, he could resurrect his pet, a feat which he repeated each time the dog died. Little did he realize that he was already exploring the beginnings of Necromancy.

In Safe Passage, Nimbus brought proof to 
Catherine that is was 
Lord Haart who killed King Gryphonheart. This action possibly prevented a larger scale war between Erathia and Deyja.
According to Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor, once the lich form of King Nicolas Gryphonheart is put to rest, Nimbus battles Archibald for the title of King of Deyja, but loses.
