Straker chose the dark path of Necromancy, but it was soon discovered that his fighting skills by far outclassed his magical abilities. He serves now in the undead armies of Deyja, hoping to one day join the ranks of true Necromancers.

Increases the Speed of allied Walking Dead and Zombies by 1 and their Attack and Defense skills by 20% 5%  for every 2 levels (rounded up).

Straker does not appear in the story text of any campaign levels.

Heroes of Might and Magic IV

Straker survived The Reckoning and appeared as a Death Knight on Axeoth.

Trivia

• Straker's name was suggested by Phil McCrum of the Astral Wizard website.
• The Restoration of Erathia manual states that Straker is human, with him clearly depicted like one of the undead in his portrait. His bio in Heroes IV mentions that he was turned into a zombie prior to becoming a death knight. There is apparently no retcon here, as zombie is not a race, or a higher form of undead like liches and vampires, but just reanimated people with their flesh mostly intact. The manual thus specifies that Straker was once a living human.
• The above makes Straker the only zombie hero in Heroes III.
