Fire Shield is a 4 level spell in the School of Fire Magic. Target allied stack gains a shield of fire, that damages all units trying to attack it in melee. Damage is based on damage done to enchanted unit. If the enchanted unit is totally destroyed, only the damage needed to kill it is used as a base for calculations.

For example. 1. 100 Archangels attack an imp with fire shield. 14K damage is done by Archangels but imp has only 4 health, so 4x20-30% is 0,8-1,2. So the fire shield will do 1 damage to the archangels. 2. 100 Archangels attack 100 imps with fire shield. 14K damage is done by Archangels, total imps' health is 4x100=400. 400 x 20-30% is 80 to 120. So the fire shield will do from 80 to 120 damage to the archangels, depending on fire shield effect levels (Basic, advanced or expert).

If 1-3 damage is done to the enchanted unit fire shield doesn't work as 1-3x30% is less than 1.

It should be noted, that even creatures that are normally immune to (fire) magic, for example black dragons, gold dragons or magic elementals, can take damage from this spell.

Units immune to its effects:
