By default, Murdoch is not playable, but he may be enabled in custom scenarios in the map editor.
Story
Rescued by 
Dargem from 
Sandworms in Bracada. In return, he helps Dargem rescue 
Kilgor and raid AvLee, then sets out to settle Dargem's score with another old enemy, 
Henrietta.
A 
Bounty Hunter employed by 
Kastore once he took control of Terra Nova. According to a local child, Murdoch is "the best marksman in the Ravage Roaming" and "can hit an enemy’s heart square from a mile away!"
Trivia
Possibly a reference to Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil).
