Story[edit | hide | hide all]
Tark is the last of the ancient line of Nix kings of Nixaar. This once great empire had dwindled as a result of some mysterious disease that caused many of their eggs to be empty. Over the years, the empire diminished to one last ancient city on one small rocky island populated by only a handful of nix. When this last remaining city came under siege by the Kreegans, Tark tried to break the siege, but failed and was imprisoned in Eeofol, while the rest of his kin were taken to Nighon as slaves.
During their quest for the Horn of the Abyss, Bidley, Jeremy and Casmetra heard about Tark and decided the nix could become powerful allies, were Tark freed. Through their raids on Eeofol, they freed Tark.
Once freed, Tark felt an obligation to free the rest of his kin and rebuild their empire. He swims alone to Nighon where he takes advantage of the civil war raging there to single-handedly free every nix he could find. While most of the nix decided to follow him, some decided to go their own way and become mercenaries.
Now that his kin were free, Tark turned his thoughts back to restoring the Nixaar empire. Perhaps those pirates, widely-traveled as they are, know of a quiet place to settle--somewhere the nix can put down roots and slowly restore their civilization without fear of invaders. For this reason, Tark decided to join Bidley and his followers.
Tark rejoins Jeremy and Casmetra after Bidley was taken captive by Dargem. When they catch up to Dargem, Casmetra reveals her true colors and seizes the Horn of the Abyss for herself. The ensuing struggle causes a magical explosion that disperses everyone across Enroth and the Plane of Water. Tark, Jeremy and Bidley eventually manage to meet back up and work together to defeat Casmetra and reclaim the Horn of the Abyss. With this, Bidley becomes the de-facto ruler of Regna and for the first time in centuries, the future of the nix looks bright.
